Merry Christmas everyone! Although you’re with your families, I bet you’re still checking all of the many social media apps on your phones!
Hopefully this is the case so that you don’t miss the world of Madame Peripetie.
Often artist are free to roam and draw, paint, or sculpt whatever it is their imagination cooks up. Photography for the most part, seems to stick to reality but its nice when someone navigates away from this. I’m not sure if this work more closely resembles a page out of a child’s sketchbook or a scene from a horror film. Either way is meant to be a compliment. Its beyond anywhere my mind travels, so its all fun!
This work makes me want to travel around and find beauty in the most mundane, simple environments. It’s not always about putting an elaborate shoot together and all the hustle and bustle involved. Sometimes its just about getting back to where we started, walking around with our cameras because we simply enjoyed the art of photography. Doing this more often, I feel can fuel our professional lives as well.
Looking at Matthias Heiderich‘s work can motivate us to be more aware of the beautiful vignettes all around us!
“The Best French Restaurant in Chinatown”!
Tonight, for our staff Christmas dinner, we will be dinning at Batifole, a quaint french restaurant in Toronto’s east end of Leslieville. Chef and owner, Jean-Jacques Texier is a friend of ours, so we are very excited to taste some delicious food, drink great wine, and relax outside of the studio.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
Friday afternoon, the studio surprised James with a delicious lunch from Porchetta and Co, as well as some birthday cakes from Nadege!
He celebrated his actual birthday over the weekend with his family. Our contribution was a success! He didn’t have a clue…
Benedict Grove, I could say that name all day everyday. This guy’s work is so peaceful and calming. Give him any subject matter and he will no doubt turn it into his own, with his unique relentless style. Look at more of Benedict’s WORK…
Keep checking back Monday’s for more fuel! *Evonne
